This book was created with the intent to grab and wake you from the message of the modern-day church that preaches “God has a wonderful plan for your life” or a “lifestyle-enhancement Gospel”. Imagine hearing these words from our Holy Creator on Judgment Day: “Depart from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you.” What would you do if that happened? Moreover, are you willing to take that chance? Examine yourself right now. Do you consider yourself a good person, really? Romans 3:10 (NKJV) states, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” Take a closer look at the beliefs you may have been taught throughout your life. I am eternally thankful to our Lord and Savior for His patience with me, the undeserved love and kindness He has, as well as His unending grace and mercy He offers to His children. A little bit of my testimony
Former Police Officer in the State of Mississippi as well as a Police Officer with the United States Department of Defense. (Mississippi, Pennsylvania). Matthew has had a lot of titles in his life – Bartender, Police Officer, Salesman, Manager, Security Guard, Medic, holder of a Top Secret Clearance, but most recently was an “INMATE” in the Alabama Department of Corrections.
” Folks, I want you to understand that I was a horrible person, I ruined lives just through my tongue. I destroyed people’s finances, livelihoods, jobs, and futures. What made it worse was that I was convinced I loved God- that I was going to heaven just because at 10 years old I said a little prayer. I was lying to myself because I didn’t want to ever face what I was doing. Well, right before I was arrested on January 28,2010 I was on my knees and cried out to God – not out of repentance but out of guilt – “God, please just take me, I know I’m gonna see you as soon as I die, so just take me because I can’t take this hurt and pain any more “(not even considering what I had done to others and the hurt and pain I had caused in their lives) I cried out …. nothing happened… I went and decided to do it myself , I was going to walk out into traffic. When I got to the edge of the curb that morning, my feet froze, I couldn’t move and then I turned and went on walking the other direction towards the business I was trying to purchase. Two hours later I was in the back of a police cruiser on my way to jail for a charge that had been pending for 4 years in Alabama.
While incarcerated in an Alabama prison (21 months) - August 1,2011 God grabbed me and I was on my face weeping, I saw my actions for what they were… SIN against our Holy God, through His Law, my mouth was shut from lame, lying, justifying excuses for my behavior, and right at that moment I finally realized the need of the Savior.
If you get anything from this please know that WHEN THE WORLD TELLS YOU, “YOU STINK” AND THEY NO LONGER COUNT YOU AND DISCARD YOU LIKE GARBAGE, KNOW THIS … NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU STINK — JESUS NEVER STOPS COMING … WHEN PEOPLE AVOID COMING NEAR YOU — JESUS KEEPS COMING WITH HIS ARMS OPEN AND TEARS IN HIS EYES, SAYING, COME HOME MY SON/DAUGHTER, I LOVE YOU, REPENT AND RECEIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE
Remember, no one can go back and make a new beginning, but ANYONE can start today and make a new ending.
