…Teddy Visits the Dentist is about my very own teddy bear.  It describes his trip to the dental office for a routine checkup and cleaning- so your child knows what to expect the first time they go to the dental office, and every time after.  Teddy has a fun time seeing his Dental Hygienist.  She takes him for a ride in the chair, shows him the light, the vacuum and the tooth polisher, and explains what Teddy can do at home to take care of his teeth.

When you educate children about their oral health at a young age, they understand the importance and routine of it.  Even when parents are still helping with flossing and brushing, reading this book to them will help children to comprehend what they will experience when they visit the dentist so there are no surprises.  Children like to be informed and treated with respect.  It is my hope that each child and parent gets this treatment every time they visit.

Elizabeth Mahadeo has worked in dental offices for over fifteen years as a Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant. Elizabeth loves treating children and believes you cannot underestimate the value of a good experience at the dental office for a child. 'Teddy Visits the Dentist' will be helpful for children and their parents making them more comfortable at their first visit and every visit after.
