Hewhay Hall by Susan Roebuck

Hewhay Hall by Susan Roebuck

Heroes go to Heaven when they die, don’t they?
Not in the last twenty years they haven’t. Nowadays, just before the champions of Society are on the point of death, they’re lured by their fantasies away from their rightful destination – Hewhay Hall - to demon Slater’s place where they’ll be tormented for eternity.
Now that he’s been unleashed on the world it’s Slater’s delight to torture these souls because they suffer more keenly and their fear is so much tastier than mere ordinary mortals’.
Heroic fire-fighter Jude Elliot, terribly injured during a terrorist attack and bound for Hewhay Hall, has been enticed to Verity Slater’s abode.
If the other tortured souls in Slater’s “care” have only one hope left now, it rests with Jude. But is a below-the-knee amputee capable of releasing thousands of weakened and feeble – albeit feisty and courageous – inmates from Slater’s house of horrors.
