The Handshaker by David Robinson

The Handshaker by David Robinson

Will a hypnotised woman submit to rape? Will she kill at the hypnotist’s command? Will she commit suicide at his whim?

Serial killer, The Handshaker, terrorises the small Pennine town of Scarbeck. Choosing his victims apparently at random, he is intelligent, quick witted and adaptable. He has eluded and baffled the police for to years. Then he abducts Patricia Sinclair, girlfriend of millionaire hypnotist, Alex Croft, and the game changes.

Croft becomes the hunter, bringing his analytical mind and hypnotic expertise to bear. Killing follows killing and in a dramatic turn of events, Croft becomes the hunted, on the run from the police, wanted by The Handshaker, drawn into a web of insanity leading to a cliffhanger climax.

About David Robinson

David Robinson is a novelist and freelance writer. In 2011, tired of the endless agent/publisher rejection merry-go-round, he turned to self-publishing on the Kindle and Smashwords, and put out 15 titles, most of them older works which had been dormant for some time. As well as his self-published output, he has also been traditionally published.

He writes in several genres, but concentrates mainly on crime and thrillers. He also write on middle age/3rd age issues, but learned a long time ago that getting serious on these matters is a waste of time, so he prefers to use his sledgehammer sense of humour to puncture the inflated egos of those who pontificate.

An easy going lunatic and devout Manchester United supporter, although I’m a Yorkshireman by birth, I now live the other side of the Pennines with my wife of 31 years and a crazy Jack Russell terrier whom we named Joe because he looks like a Joe.

He is currently working on a sequel to The Handshaker.
